They didn’t just talk about what to do if you tore your heart out because you didn’t get the Valentine you wanted, they gave you an option if your ex broke your heart and you wanted to get revenge.
For $5 you could name one of the cockroaches they feed to the birds, and for $25 you could name one of the frozen rats they feed to their snakes. They promised to send a certificate that the donors could display on their social media pages.

Their originality paid off, a lot of people bought their certificates.
(Thank you, Angus, for telling me about this.)

good grief!
just goes to show you how important even the lowest of the food chain is.
wonder who the ‘marketing expert’ is who came up with this? lol.
You have to give the marketing expert an A+ for originality. The idea resonated with quite a few people. 😀
Oh, gross but I hope it makes a lot of money for the Zoo. It’s an awesome place.
I’ve never been to San Antonio, but I’ve heard a lot about it.
that’s gross as JeanR says – but also so appropriate in the matter of “ex’s” and how to fix them good an proper….
The fellow who thought of it had a great imagination. Most people don’t associate Valentine’s Day with cockroaches and frozen rodents.
I agree with you it is sure original. I would not give an ex that much attention…I would not want him to know he still bothered me.
I’m with you. Why post it on your social media and proclaim to the world that you can’t move on?
That’s one heck of a gimmick to raise money. Of course I doubt that the cockroaches or rats are impressed with the idea…lol
😀
I am happy to hear the zoo made a lot of money.. they need it to feed those precious animals.
Yes, the money goes to a good cause.
I saw that on the news.
That’s neat the zoo got more publicity. Thanks for telling us.
Ann Thompson, you always crack me up…
