When Andy came home yesterday he said with a big smile, “I have a present for you. It’s on the camera and I’m not going to tell you what it is. You have to see for yourself.”
Our big tomato plant has a flower! How cool is that?

Wow, that tomato plant has really grown and look at that beautiful bud.
Yes, it was a big surprise. 🙂
how sweet!
there’s something so courageous to me about a little plant!
it gives me hope always and feeds my own courage and spirit.
Round Up poisonous spray used to have a tv commercial.
it was a little dandelion growing out of a crack in a sidewalk.
they sprayed Round Up on it and killed it. I even cried. and I quit watching it.
I overreacted I guess. but now they know how lethal it is to people too!
not just little plants.
I feel the same way about little plants that grow in cracks. It also reminds me of our little shed that first winter after the fire.
That is the best present ever….wonder if it will self polinate?
I gave Andy a couple of small soft paint brushes and he will see if he can mimic a bee.
I can just about taste a fresh tomato already!
There are no guarantees, but it’s fun to watch plants grow.
The best kind of present!
xoxo
I agree!
How cool is that!
Yes!
oh that’s pure love….and I’m glad Andy didn’t pick it to bring home to thee…roll on tomatoes…
He brings home radishes and beet greens, much better than a tomato blossom that we want to watch. 😀
where the yellow flower shows,
the red tomato grows. yay for good tomatoes on the way….
There are never any guarantees, but it’s fun to experiment and see what happens.
