Andy planted some seeds in his starting kit and kept the soil warm with the heating pad we mentioned before. Six days later the cucumbers (second column from the left) and cabbage (eighth column from the left) are starting to grow.
We’ll have to see how they do.

watching LIFE happen! on kind of a personal level.
really a wonderful hobby at this time in history.
glad you’re sharing it with us! xo
Yes, it helps balance all the grim news.
We need to find directions to your place so we can enjoy all those fresh veggies-to-be.
Woos, Lightning and Timber

Oh, I looked at that starter kit…wondering if it would survive the cats. They are not young any more and now that I don’t play hide n seek with Bubbie, I cannot remember the last time he ran through the house…so it would have been fine.
There is just something about planting seeds and waiting for life to emerge!
I fell the same way about young plants. I love watching them sprout and grow more than I do harvesting.
how marvellous …the starter kit is going to keep you both entertained if you find yourselves at a lose end during this time…
Yes. 🙂
It’s exciting watching things come to life.
Yes! It’s an ideal hobby in these crazy times.
this is such a fantastic thing to do, espcailly now when food is scooped off the shelves as soon as they are loaded. keep us posted, this is very interesting to watch
We won’t get enough to feed ourselves, but it’s still a fun hobby.
