Notice the cucumbers (second column from the left) and the cabbage (eighth column from the left) have grown slightly, and a few other seeds are starting to sprout. Andy didn’t go up to the land today, but hopefully will go up tomorrow to water and check to see what’s happening.

We bet your cukes will be SO much better than what Mom finds in the grocery store.
Woos, Lightning and Timber
There are never any guarantees, so we don’t count on anything, but we could be lucky. 🙂
awesome
at least you can still travel out of your home zone/suburb – here you are very limited, stick to your local suburb and only travel if you’ve an essential worker. Stay home as much as possible, restricting movement etc. Solitary walks etc.
I just messaged my main helper because I realised I had to do a food-head-count and it appears H is going grocery shopping tomorrow and will pick up some fresh veggie and maybe some fruit. I said “don’t bust your boiler” – she is a mom of a young fellow as of course has a husband, they are both doing work from home, I think…
I have more than enough protein and carbs (since I found something in the food-count) but it will still be creative in creating. the readymade meals still coming…
heard on the social grapevines that the stores that had plants – all the seedlings gone! Hope they know how to care for them, and realise that it will be sometime before they’ve actually eating said veg!
Yes, here we’re surrounded by national forests, so it doesn’t make sense to keep people in their houses. Andy is even more socially isolated up on the land.
then you are luckier than here…you can’t technically get in your car and go some place else. If you’ve separated from your partner and the children are in split circumstances that too is banned unless of course they are in the same suburb, very close by.
Wherever you laid your head to sleep last night is your abode, and it’s where you stay. All the forest and tracks are closed so there are no huts/areas to camp in…
Yes, I read that. Apparently without warning where you were is where your home is for a while. Wow!
They will grow quickly now!
We’ll see and keep you posted. 🙂
I’m hungry for some coleslaw 🙂
I am too! Thank you for telling me this comment got lost.
For some reason all of my comments just disappear. If you get this one I want you to know that I do read and comment. After I hit post comment they just never show up
Thank you for letting me know. For some reason some comments were marked as spam, and I have now fixed the problem.
as of last night about midnight our town is on total lockdown.
no travel except for grocery pick up and doctor appt.
neither of which I need in the foreseeable future! I hope!
those tiny little plants are so sweet. like watching a nursery. 😀
They’re prohibiting walks even if you keep your distance?
plants grow so quickly, it is amazing to watch them sprout
Yes, Tomorrow’s post will show even more growth.
Now you’re getting serious about being an indoor grower. My mom worked at a greenhouse that was attached to the floral business were I worked. It was her job to thin out tiny plants like those and fill up all four acres with under glass. Can’t wait to see and follow your little greenhouse totally planted.
I’m not sure how it will end up looking. I’m just having a great time seeing what happens.
We are in a high density condo complex, so we are all observing social distancing. I don’t mind, since I’m a bit of an isolate, but my husband is yearning for his social groups! Glad you are keeping busy!
It helps a lot to have hobbies and projects that don’t require going out (for me) and that Andy can still drive up to the land almost every day. No problem with keeping socially isolated there. 🙂
