It’s looks as if we may get some tomatoes!
One of the corn tassels is now touching the glass roof, but Andy says he thinks the top couple of inches are getting roasted by the sun, so it’s not likely to get any taller.
There are four or five possible ears with silk but he doesn’t know if they will get pollinated — he shakes the tassels regularly to help the process. Fingers crossed.

What a wonderful and delicious hobby! Congratulations!
Thank you! Yes, it’s an especially great hobby nowadays.
awesome
😀
Looks like quite a few tomatoes on the plants. That’s interesting about the corn. I didn’t realize the ears needed to be pollinated by the tassels.
I didn’t either, but it makes sense.
I can’t wait to see what the corn does growing inside.. that last photo is beautiful, I love the shadows and light play
Thanks.
I echo everyone! this is exciting and fun. and rewarding! xo
😀 Yes, it’s fun.
Next time Andy could plant the corn more toward the back to get some extra height for the corn. I didn’t know it had to be pollinated. Maybe he’ll have to set up a fan next. What fun.
Shaking the tassles is no problem, assuming it works. Eventually he’s plant the corn a bit farther back, but he still needs the three feet from the back wall for walking. In our first greenhouse/cold frame the corn was at the very back, but there the door was in the front, not at the back like this one.
I think we are all just dying to taste things! I am betting the corn does good…
There are no guarantees, but we will let you know. At any rate it won’t be a big harvest, just a fun adventure.
We will cross our paws too:) We bet that corn would be very tasty.

Thanks. We’ll let you know.
