Andy made it up to the land all right. If there had been too much snow he wouldn’t have plowed, just come home and waited for the sun to do its thing.
It isn’t time to put our winter coats away yet!

I hate to say this but it’s still so beautiful!
(especially since I don’t have to get out in it!)
we’re expecting flurries tonight. up to an inch!
I like it, and Andy is happy because it may mean the rest of the daffodils won’t freeze.
We had wind today that felt like it was from an iceberg….I only wore a jacket, but could have used a coat!
I used my winter coat when I went out to take the picture from the porch.
We had snow here in West Michigan today, too, but it only lasted a 10-15 minutes but boy was it cool and windy!
Yes, cool and windy. Apparently that’s not unusual right now. My daughter lives in Massachusetts and her power is out because of the wind. They have a neat site, updated every 15 minutes, so you can see where the outages are and the number of people without power. I think that’s cool! They’ve been working hard to fix the problems.
We pups would love that snow, but Mom says she much prefers the green grass and flowers:)
Woos, Lightning and Timber
I can understand both of your positions! Your mom has been going through a lot, so I hope she gets her green grass and flowers.
Snow in April seems especially cruel! I hope it melts quickly, and let’s you enjoy the spring!
We’re hoping the snow keeps the rest of our daffodils from freezing!
You’ve not supposed to having snow…but hey I love it dusting the trees…
And why you shouldn’t be having snow, because The Remarkables in Queenstown, New Zealand got a dusting of snow over the Easter break…
It’s springtime in the Rockies! In the old days we often had snow flurries the first week or so in June. And the first year we were here we had two feet of snow the first or two week in April. That was unusual, but it made a big impression on us. 😀
We had a dusting of snow last week. It was gone by the next day but hard to take after having 60 degree temps only a couple days before.
Yes, sudden changes are hard to adapt to. Well, they are when it suddenly gets cold and snowy again. Going suddenly to a springlike day isn’t usually a problem. 😀
wow, on the snow. we are having record breaking heat for FL, 89 degrees yesterday and going there again today… still no rain…
That’s way too hot for us, especially this early!
We are also having snow. It feels more like March than April here in Minnesota.
Hopefully it won’t last very long for you.
Last Friday’s snow was the last that I want to see until at least October/November 15 plus inches at this time of year was just a bit much, especially when you lose power for a couple of days. However, the snow is now pretty much gone after high winds and 1.5 inches of rain yesterday. Thankfully we didn’t lose power this time. 🙂 I am ready for 50-60*F days and 40*F during the nights.
Losing power is the worst part, I think. We’re lucky here — when we lose power it usually comes back on in a couple of hours.
My daughter and son-in-law moved to Massachusetts Sunday, April 6, and are still self-quarantining. The high winds knocked out their power for over twenty-four hours and they haven’t had time to install solar power or to buy a backup generator. I’m guessing it’s towards the top of their priority list.
This winter we only had two or three slight snowfalls, and they were all melted in a matter of hours. But we’ve had almost continuous freezing winds, still around even now.
Brrr!!
