Catherine asked how Kaitlin and Torben liked their new home. They had remodeled their previous one ten years ago and loved it. This one isn’t as compact and elegant as the old one, but they’re making it theirs and it’s going to work.
They bought it because it’s more out in the country and has a two-acre backyard. Here are pictures of their old backyard:
And here is a picture of their new one, with half of it fenced in so the pups are free to run:
Can you see the pups? (I think they’re over by the fence.)
If the pups had a vote, which yard do you think they would pick?

I love the pavers in their first yard, it’s all really lovely! The new one is too, but just has that different vibe that also gives that peaceful vibe.
It’s a lot better for the pups. especially high-energy Zoe.
The former yard was quite lovely, and the new one has its own charm. We bet the dogs enjoyed the old one, but now they will be happy to run in that big area.
Mom is a Massachusetts born and raised native – lived there for 37 years. Where is MA are they located?
Woos, Lightning and Timber
They’re in Carlisle, 22 miles northwest of Boston, less than 15 minutes north of Concord (if you believe the internet map).
Where did your mom grow up?
Both yards are great for different reasons but I’m sure the dogs like the new one the best because it probably comes with critters.
Yes, critters and room to run.
the new Yard or is that Yardage – ticks my boxes…
but I’m pretty sure it will change, maybe not the running spaces but closer into actual house…
once the leaves appear to it will soften the outdoors…
Yes, changes to the yard in the fullness of time. It will probably be a while.
I figure the dogs like the new, as for me, it would be a hard choice…I would like a bit of their old back yard in the new…but leave the new partly like it is. LOL
It may take a while, but it will be interesting to see what K and T do to it.
like everyone else… I like them both!
but I think the doggies love to run and they can do more of that in the new one!
If I were a pup I would vote for the new yard. I’m guessing K and T will eventually do some work to make it prettier for humans.
Both yards are wonderful but I bet the dogs absolutley love the new yard.
They should, but apparently they don’t. See tomorrow’s post. 😀
i think the pups would choose the new one and so would I. the other one is nice and pretty but i love open space and TREES.. looks like a nice place to move
I loved their old house, but I’m excited about the location of this one. Like you I love the trees and open space.
Oh yes, the pups will love their new back yard. And I’m sure their humans will make it as exciting as their last one, in time.
It will take a long time — housing prices there are out of sight! But they’re happy with the move, which is the main thing.
The new one, without a doubt. Plenty of room to romp about in (so much room I can’t even see them!)
I know, it’s a great yard. 🙂
My comment is invisible again!
No, it appeared after I put up the second comment!
I’m sorry you sometimes have problems with your comments showing, but at least they usually appear in the fullness of time.
