Remember these pictures from yesterday’s post?
First of all, they were taken in summer, when the plants were thriving. Here are two pictures taken by the realty company when they were selling their place a couple of months ago:
Kaitlin and Torben had planted some evergreens and installed the pavers so there was something to see all year round. That helped a lot.
Also notice the dogs in the summer photos were Sammy and Montana, previous pups. I asked Kaitlin if Sammy and Montana did much damage and she said Sammy was old enough not to bother the plants, except when he was hot and needed shade:
Montana respected the little fences they put up, so she was no problem. Tempi and Zoe? Uh, not so respectful. As I understand it, for the first year she was there Tempi thought the rules were ridiculous and ignored them, and when Zoe came she was so exuberant that she didn’t even stop to listen. (Correct me if I have it wrong, Kaitlin!)
Anyway, they managed to patch most of the damage there, they but may have some problems with plants in the new yard. An ongoing adventure, and a fun one since the yard is already lovable just the way it is. It will be fun to see what it looks like when the new leaves come out.

the pictures the realtor took are somewhat wonderful looking…as if it’s a snowy white duvet – a blank canvas: ready to whipped off when spring/summer comes again…
I hope all goes smooth when they start with the new yard…
Catherine,
It doesn’t look too bad even before spring, does it?
Rose,
Thanks. It will be a long process.
LOVE the pictures of Sammy getting cool!
and after all… if the inside belongs to the humans… surely the OUTSIDE belongs to the pups! I mean that stands up in a court of law! LOL!
Certainly an old pup with a heavy coat deserves some consideration!
It is never easy to sell a house in the winter unless you live in an unchanging environment. Personally we like winter best:)
Woos, Lightning and Timber
They didn’t have any trouble selling, and the house they bought was also before spring came so presumably it evened out?
Even in the winter that back yard does look great.
They did a nice job on it. 🙂
You have it correct!
Thanks!
oh wow! I love the snowy pics, that yard is amazing, so sweet with the pup in the flower bed… we have had five dogs, only one was a digger, we had her 16 years, she killed all my favortie plants and dug holes all over the yard. we rescued her from a shelter and the day we got her, she was sleeping in a hole out in the pasture. we loved her anyway… so glad you showed us the new pics with the old.
Thank you! That’s the thing about pups, we humans sometimes have to make adjustments because we love them. 🙂
