Remember the “peonies” that looked like tulips?
One definitely was a tulip:
Andy said the others had died and fallen over so he didn’t take a picture of them. Another mystery is why they died so soon.
But look at this new growth:
How exciting is that? We will let you know if they survive and turn out to be peonies.

they certainly look sturdy right now! fingers crossed!
We’ll have to see.
that’s just plain crazy….maybe the initial package was a “mix up” at the coalface i..e. plant nursery!
It may be that the shoots were later coming up. But we have no idea where the tulips came from.
If it was in town I’d guess squirrels dug up bulbs from a neighbor’s yard and replanted them in yours. Other flowers come from birds pooping seeds but no birds is going to poop a flower bulb unless you grow some mighty big birds out there… LOL
😀 Yes, no squirrels or birds would be responsible.
Now that looks like the peonies I know. I just love the smell of those flowers but they never last very long.
We will let you know if they survive and bloom. 🙂
Thank you for showing us that tulip. That is a mystery why the others died; they sure looked healthy to us.
We can’t wait to see the peonies. Mom had a whole plot of them in the yard of one of our other homes. They were very pretty, but she didn’t like how they looked when they all fell down.
Woos – Lightning and Timber
We’ll have to see how well they do. We’re still scratching our heads about the tulips.
Yes, that looks like my peony…I do hope it survives.
Thank you. 🙂
