Kaitlin, Torben, and the pups drove the Kancamagus Highway to see the fall colors yesterday.
Here’s a picture of the pups on the walk they took.
How cool is that?
Update: Tempi has written about their trip, with a gazillion pictures.

That’s beautiful country. We’ve been there a few times over the years, most recently in 1994.
In 1974, when we lived in Connecticut, we camped at Covered Bridge Campground and hiked upstream along the Swift River to the Lower Falls, which are a relatively low set of cascades and falls. Melanie was an 18 month-old toddler. Being adventurous, we decided to wade across the shallow river just above the falls. I was carrying Melanie and my shoes. All Karen had was to carry was her shoes. The rocks were moss-covered in places and slippery.
Karen slipped… and went over the falls and under the water in the cascades.
I ran ahead of her. Melanie was panicked, crying, and screaming. When I got to a point where I could get to Karen, I set Mel down and told her as sternly as I could to stay right there.
Karen was okay when I got her out other than some bumps and bruises. She had lost her shoes and glasses. We walked back on the highway (yeah, Kancamagus) and packed up our gear, cutting short our camping trip.
Karen never did like the water much and this just made it worse.
That must have been scary for all of you. I can understand why Karen would have an aversion to water after that!
Don’t you wish you knew what dogs were thinking looking at that beautiful walk.
Yes. 🙂
VERY cool! And I love the deeply leaf filled path!
I love leaves on the ground!
What a beautiful area. Love the picture of the dogs
The bipeds took a great picture of the pups. 🙂
The beautiful fall colors and the summer at the ocean are the two things I miss most about New England. I was born in Massachusetts and lived there for 37 years. The fall colors are so beautiful.
I can just imagine how much you miss them. 🙁
Tempi, I’ll get to read your post but wow…that’s a wonderful avenue of colour you’ve made the hu-mans stop and get a photo of…Catherine were those leaves have left and the new green foliage is returning…
That’s right, you have spring. 🙂
that is one gorgeous highway view, i did look at the photos of their ride and it is beautiful, my favorite remains The Bark Rangers
They included a lot of nice pictures. 🙂
Pandemic or not, this video makes me want to jump in the car ….
Headed to Tempi’s place now!
I can understand why!
Awwww, I love the path with the pups image. Makes it all look like a perfect Autumn hike!
Yes, I love that picture too. 🙂
They appear to waiting for the appearance of someone/something to come up that trail.
Or waiting for the bipeds to start the walk. 🙂
We drove the Kanc several years ago in late September. It was a bit too early but still beautiful!
