Andy took these pictures this past Sunday:
We had talked about going up for another picnic supper, but he suggested we wait until today because of the smoky skies.
The skies are still smoky, but we’re going anyway.

these pictures are absolutely beautiful!
especially when you think of how far it has all come since the fire.
life renewing itself! thank you for sharing it. xoxo
Yes, we decided to stay to watch the renewal. 🙂
All that beautiful orange color behind the burned trees just makes for a spectacular photo and it’s such a beautiful spot I wish I was there to go with you for a picnic
I wish you could too. 🙂
It is gorgeous, I love the color!
We didn’t expect much color this fall because of the drought. How wrong we were!
What are those square things on posts on the left hand side of the first photo?
Those are our photovoltaic panels, they’re our source of electricity.
We love the gold and orange tones you have there. We are still looking at lots of green:)
We were lucky this year…we didn’t expect much because of the drought.
Fall is my favorite season — love the colors!
It’s my favorite season too, even when it’s a bad year for colors. We were surprised at this year’s display. 🙂
the stark reminder of the burnt trees v the wonderful colours of regrowth making a point “we will return…”
It’s been nine years, well worth the wait. 🙂
Absolutely gorgeous. The colors are beautiful. A scene like that could certainly give one a peaceful easy feeling.
Yes, it does inspire a peaceful feeling. 🙂
Unless your breathing’s compromised (from the smoke), I’d take the ride! Growing in a small town, I used to feel unfairly isolated … now, I imagine it feels like a blessing.
We’ve always liked it here… we don’t like cities.
Wonderful colours. We’re getting great colours in Belfast too.
Good, it’s my favorite time of year.
Stunning. Colors are so vibrant.
Yes. 🙂
Luscious and lovely photographs! You are fortunate.
Yes. 🙂
I wish I could blink my eyes like Jeannie and just be there! I think I could sit there all day and just drink in the view!
Your comment about Jeannie brings back memories. 🙂
