Andy has been having trouble emailing from the land, so we went up for a quick trip yesterday afternoon to do some trouble shooting.
We also went to the greenhouse to do our daily harvesting of the tomatoes.

Your first photo is gorgeous! And you have such a large and beautiful greenhouse, too. You live in a beautiful place.
It is beautiful. 🙂
I don’t know how I missed your groundhog gadden post! It is adorable, and the man himself is awesome! I love groundhogs. Did you kow that another name for them is Whistle Pig? Because their warning call is a high pitched whistle. I have seen and heard them do this. One was living under our next door neighbor’s shed, and he said he would shoot it if he saw it. NOOooo!! I hope he never sees it.
I didn’t know that (Whistle Pig)! Poor neighbor, but fingers crossed for the groundhog.
Vine ripened tomatoes, in the dead of winter…pretty awesome!
Did your trouble shooting accomplish anything positive?
We’ll have to see if the tomatoes survive this cold spell, but they have done well so far. We still don’t know what had happened for Andy, it worked fine when I was there. But I am giving him some other options to try if it happens again.
I love to see your greenhouse and I love to see your view from your Mountaintop and now I’m wondering do you ever spend the night up there like maybe just one night or two I know you live in town
We don’t spend the night up there, but Kaitlin, Torben, and the pups do when they come for a visit.
Loving every one of these pictures! My hubby’s ‘only’ in his 70’s but doesn’t look nearly as fit as Andy. I’m not a big fan of tomatoes but the looks of yours are mighty tempting.
We, especially me, love tomatoes. We’ll have to see how they survive this cold spell. It was a nice trip.
Looks like your greenhouse plants are thriving. And the tomatoes look super-ripe and tasty!
We’ll have to see how they look when Andy gets up there again. It was too cold today.
It’s a good thing I don’t have your greenhouse since I have been known to make myself sick eating home grown tomatoes. I don’t dare grow them anymore. Glad you two are enjoying them, though.
I can understand the temptation to overindulge!
Those are beautiful tomatoes!
They were starting to think spring was coming. ..but not after the cold snap today. We’ll see, it’s all part of the adventure.
It must be wonderful to have fresh veggies in February:)
Happy Valentine’s Day from The Sweetheart Sibes – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
It has been so far. We’ll see if this cold snap changes things. 🙂
What grand views from there! What are the folded sheets of colored paper for? Inquiring minds want to know.
I would love to have some of the tomatoes!
Thanks for asking…for the first time we’re starting to have white flies. Apparently smearing Vaseline on yellow paper is supposed to attract them and they get stuck. Instead the Vaseline just dried up and we caught nary a one. We’re ordered some other sticky traps from Amazon. I will let you know how that turns out. Fingers crossed.
Well, I made a comment but it did not post…I wonder if you have to do something to it…or did I just hit the wrong button…but I don’t see how I could have..
Anyway, I wondered if you your troubleshooting solved the problem.
Everything worked fine for me when I was up there, but we’re looking into other options if the problem comes up again.
That greenhouse is serving you well. How wonderful to have fresh home grown tomatoes all winter long.
Yes, that was a big surprise. The tomatoes have all come from just four plants.
love the continuing tomato crop…
Thanks. 🙂
The tomatoes are beautiful and perfect – They make my mouth water just thinking about biting into one! I can’t wait to have my own again in a few months.
It won’t be long now. 🙂
