These pictures remind me of a pup about 50 years ago. I was walking, carrying groceries home, in Ithaca, NY after we had some snow. A dog saw me and invited me to play. I said I was sorry, but I had to get the groceries home. I had a scarf dangling down, so the pup grabbed it and hopefully tried to persuade me. I still had to say no, but I remember that pup to this day.

I did not mind snow when I was younger, either, and still get a school kid feel when it starts to snow. I just hate to have to get out in it now. LOL
It’s much more fun to enjoy it from inside. ๐
Those pups are like my three – they all love the snow and could stay out in it all day and night. Guess that’s why they are Siberians:)
I thought of them as I was writing this. ๐
Back in the day I might have played in the snow with that pup. Now so would have to take a pass
Me too. I happily stay in as much as possible in winter. ๐
Some dogs really do love the snow, but not all of them. Fun to watch the former play in it.
I agree. ๐
Aww! That sounds like a story board for a Hallmark commercial. ๐
That pup was so sweet. ๐
My sisters Huskies love the snow! No surprise there! LOL!
I think my Nora (Border Collie) enjoys it.
And Jimmy (terrier mix) finds it refreshing many times but heโs always happy to come inside too!
Hattie (dachshund) hates it and refuses to go outside, I have to carry her out. But I guess Iโd hate it too, if my belly and chest were dragging through it!
๐
I can understand why Hattie wouldn’t like it. ๐
I’m trying to catch up on reading my blogs:) I for one like winter…it doesn’t get snowy or too too cold here, but I love wearing sweaters, boots, & scarves. I hate our really hot summers! Sorry you had vehicle problems! Yes, I do sometimes get the blahs…that’s why I try to stay busy. If I have nothing to do, I can get really down! Glad you were able to get your shots…guess you didn’t have a reaction and that’s wonderful!!!!
Thanks for coming by. ๐
I imagine it is a vivid and fun memory. i think I would have been rather enchanted.
The pup was so sweet. ๐
we think Beau would love snow, he doesn’t like heat at all and loves it the colder we get. i see on other blogs that a lot of dogs love the snow. a fond memory from 50 years ago…
I’m with Beau. I may not go outside much in winter, but I love winter a lot more than hot days in summer.
The pup who grabbed at your scarf clearly wasn’t going to let you off the hook so easily!
It was a coaxing invitation, not a demand. That’s why I still remember it.
I would remember that pup too. What a character. Great happy memory.
Yes, a treasured memory. ๐

That was supposed to be a laughing emoji but I guess I can’t use them on WordPress.
WordPress sucks on emojis, but it does smileys. I wrote about it in January:
There was no space before the “to” because with a space it would have processed the smiley.
When young, blood is thicker, you don’t mind the cold, snowy, outdoors. Now it’s pretty from inside looking out. Yet, if it were my pup, I may make an exception. What a sweet memory. “Come, play with me?”
It still warms my heart to think of it. ๐
