    This really tickled me!!!

  3. Rose says:

Oh, we could have used that at one time…I love it.

  4. Myra Guca says:

Soooo true! ‘Nice to know we’re not the only ones with a crazed canine.

  5. cute and so true with most dogs. Levi would only bark at someone at the door if he or she had four legs and fur. Everyone else got a wiggling whine.

  6. Bruce Taylor says:

I have a neighbor who should have that on his front door. I walked up the street yesterday and his little dog barked constantly from inside the house. Must have been looking out the window.

  7. Ann Thompson says:

Love it. Gibbs would get involved even without the knock. I swear he hears people walking down the sidewalk and will run to the window and bark like crazy.

  8. Rose says:

Actually we do this at Coppers house…but for a different reason to what I would have used it before. Now we use it till daughter can put him outside and let us get in and Roger get settled till he dont get knocked down in all the excitement.

at one time, we had 3 big dogs, all barkers at strangers. our mail man walks the route, he started walking across our front porch even though our mail box is not by the door but at the corner of the house. we moved the mailbox to the corner so the mailman did not come on the porch. had to ask him to stop because they were tearing the blinds down. that said, i laughed long and hardon this one for a reason. the good news is Big Boy and Beau did not and do not bark

    • Jean says:

That’s good news about Big Boy and Beau! I visited a friend once and her three big dogs came slamming against the window when they saw me approach the door. It was so hard I wasn’t sure they wouldn’t crash through it. They were friendly, just exuberant.

  10. Linda Sand says:

Love it! Made my Dave laugh, too.

Dave’s mother taught her dog to grab a knotted sock when anyone showed up at the door. That kept the dog from both barking and jumping up since it was holding its position while waiting for you to play tug instead.

  11. The OP Pack says:

That would work well here. Misty and Timber are not barkers, but Lightning is for sure. He goes crazy when the doorbell rings. That’s not always a bad thing, but . . .
