Today is National Tell a Joke Day.
Joke — a funny story with a punch line.
For instance two fellows who knew nothing about golf were were watching someone playing. The player was having trouble. First he hit the ball into the trees and struggled to get it back on the fairway. Then he hit it into a sand trap and struggled again. When he finally got it into the hole one of the watchers said to the other, “He’s really in trouble now. There’s no way he can hit it out of there.”
Jeanne Robertson, of course, has wonderful punch lines. This is one of her newer stories:

I am horrible at telling jokes. I always either give the punchline away at the beginning or I forget it altogether.

I was looking to see when Jeanne broke her leg, 2017 I think was the tour based it all and why she was using a rocking chair. But what I’ve found is that “Left Brain” Jerry recently died in June…after a long illness. But looks like Jeanne is still touring…
Yes, I looked to see and they are selling tickets to a lot of events. That’s impressive!

She really is a funny lady. Our grandson shared a silly joke with us when he was visiting Sunday: He asked us why the golfer brought an extra pair of pants to the tournament. And the answer? Drum Roll – in case in got a hole in one – groan!!!
Groaners are funny too. 🙂
