Andy has been wrestling with three big trees on the road down from the fire station.
This first picture show the size of the trees compared to the size of the saw.
This picture shows how sometimes the cut isn’t clean, pieces of the log stick out.
This picture shows how Andy rolls the log down off the road.
So it’s easy to see how if that piece sticking out hits Andy’s leg it could not only bang the leg, it could also knock him down the hill.
We count Thursday as a good day. Andy’s shin was banged up, but he didn’t go down the hill with the log.

wow. a very lucky man and a lucky day for sure!
one can’t think too much about what ‘Might’ have happened. it’s just too scary.
xoxo
Yes!
that was sheer luck, take care Andy….
Thanks, it was a good warning. One more thing to pay attention to.
that log is HUGE! so glad he is ok.. that is a job and I can see how long it would take and how hard it would be. chain saws are dangerous, when bob gets his tiny one out I get nervous. he had one like this one but it quit years ago and we replaced with a small one
Andy is careful, but those were big trees.
He’s a brave, strong willed man, your Andy is. I shudder to think what mighta been.
Yes, he is brave and strong-willed. That’s probably why he has lasted almost 87 years now.
Thank goodness for Andy’s quick reflexes! What kind of tree is that? A pine?
He thinks the last one was a Ponderosa pine.
OH my, that man needs to slow down. So glad he is OK.
He says if he slows down any more he will stop moving. Everything takes forever now. 😀
That doesn’t look like easy work. That log looks huge compared to the saw. Glad to hear it didn’t take him down the hill
Yes. 🙂
That is a big log…unam glad there was no accident.
Thanks.
