A Beacon of Hope?

A couple of our neighbors from Cochiti Mesa visited Andy yesterday. He showed them our greenhouse, and they wanted to know where he put the Christmas tree and lights every season. So he showed them. He made some comment about his wife hoping he would grow up some day and stop playing around on the roof, and they told him how they looked forward to seeing the lights every year.

The fellow said he’s hoping to live up in the mountains as long as possible…it’s encouraging that 87-year-old Andy is still managing to go up there almost every day.

Andy as a beacon of hope?

I bet it was really nice to know that all his hard work was worth it, and people appreciate it!

  2. Why doesn’t he just do an assortment of colored lights that he can leave up year around? They don’t have to be just a Christmas thing.

Yes, a beacon of hope and an inspiration to anyone who thinks they’re too old to do something.
It’s always nice to know that people look forward to something you do.

the tree is also like a beacon of hope and so pretty on top of your mountain. it is good your husband can prove what can be done to others, both on the roof and in his daily live of hard work at his age. I am sure it gives hope to others. him on the roof does make me nervous and my own hubby is now threatening to get on our roof to saw off a few limbs. noooooo was my answer

We appreciate them too. The fellow asked if Andy had plowed the road. Andy said yes and the fellow said he was away skiing, otherwise he would have done it.

Andy makes me think of my Dad, who kept right on going until age 94. I am sure Andy will get there, too, and will probably pass that.

You’re both so inspiring. Go, Andy!

Andy looks pretty fit for an 87 year old. I hope I’m as fit as that if and when I reach 87!
