Andy’s Third Hand

Used by jewelers, model builders, miniaturists, electronic hobbyists. Keeps your hands free for soldering, gluing, positioning, while work is held firmly at any angle required. Has 3 alligator-type spring clamps mounted in ball joints for flexibility. Nickel plated steel with heavy iron base for no-tip stability.
Triple Grip Third Hand

Andy bought one of these and used it today when he was building a circuit.

Here he has it pushing on an integrated circuit so he can solder the leads on the other side of the board.

Here he has it pulling on the lead of a resistor so he can solder it without burning his fingers.

Here’s a photo of the resistor on the other side of the board:

And here’s the expanded design layout and circuit board that he’s working on:

How cool is that?

Goodness, he really knows the technical stuff. This holder is cool, I see the two alligator clips on it.

  2. Andy has many talents that most of us only dream exist…

I don’t know the first thing about circuit boards but I can say that is one handy gadget.

bob would love one of these. if he goes back to building his own planes will check into it.. it is really an amazing gadget and perfect for what Andy does…

  5. MadSnapper says:

wow and it is affordable also. I could use it when making my earrings except I have not worn any since the mask came into our lives.

Now that he’s back to building (RC), I am so ordering this for Tom! Thanks for the tip!

That would come in handy for some people. It also reminded me of Roger’s fly-tying vise. I wonder if I have a pic of it somewhere. Of course it only has one little ‘thing’ to hold the fish hook. But it is repositional.

Those things are amazing. If he does a lot of that kind of work it’s well worth the investment. How I could have used one in my hobbyist days.

I haven’t never seen a contraption like that. I bet it is very handy, but it would boggle my brain to figure out how to use it. Good going, Andy.

Those things have so many uses most people never consider. It truly is a multi-tool.

ps. My current puzzword streak is at 39 wins but the one of which I am most proud is abyss. Thanks for leading me to this game.
