It was fun watching the helicopter yesterday. Click on the picture to see a video.
The bush got in the way at the end. Here’s a photo of the helicopter dropping the water.
And here’s a closer view:

What a relief it must have been to see your property standing tall and apparently untouched. Congratulations! I hope your luck holds.
Thanks. 🙂
Great flying pics, so clear and not blurry. It has gone low!
🙂
that’s great that your buildings and to some extent your land is clear of the fire, along with B & T’s place.
The firefighters worked hard to protect structures. We’re grateful.
I’ve seen this done on tv but it would be interesting to see it happening in real life.
Yes, it was a surprise to see it. 🙂
I hope the firefighters stay safe…
Human safety is the top priority.
Glad to read so far so good for you and hope it remains so.
Thank you.
Cool video! Now I’m wondering if those firefighters on the ground are what they call the ‘hot shots’? While we were living in Arizona, 19 ‘Granite Mountain’ hot shots were killed when flames overtook their emergency shelters. ‘Just another example how dangerous their profession.
I’ve heard of hot shots but not sure if these fellows would be considered them. I think they are a lot more cautious nowadays, as they should be! For instance they mostly don’t go into burn scars from previous fires because the dead trees are dangerous.
Great photos. They do a great job with those water drops.
