Andy was concerned that the plants in the greenhouse would have gotten too hot. He had shut the fan off before he left…the wind kept blowing the vents closed and the fan was overheating. He was planning to turn it back on the next day, but…. Three and a half weeks later, when we got up there, the temperature inside was about 115°F, but the plants had been watered automatically and they were thriving.

hooray for nature’s tough unpredictability!
Yes. 🙂
that’s amazing – well done “greenhouse” and thank goodness no spark arrived and destroyed you 🙂
Thanks. We’re happy about that. 🙂
Wow, your plants sure can take the heat better than I can!! They must think they are back in the jungle.
That’s way too hot for me! I’m not surprised about the avocado and plumeria, but the beets and lettuce were doing fine too. We harvested some of them.
Miracles happen!!
Yes. 🙂
Wow, it all looks amazing. Glad it all survived.
That was good, especially since Andy may have lost some trees. Kaitlin and Torben were the ones who suggested the greenhouse, and we’re so glad they did.
I am so happy to see your beautiful green house is safe and all is well with it. it doesn’t surprise me that the heat did not hurt the plants, as long as they have water that is what our temps are all the time. if we are 90 like yesterday it is 110 plus if in the sun not shade. plants love water and heat. I know Andy was tickled pink. great shots on flicker
Thank goodness he automated the watering. 🙂
So glad the plants were fine…
Thanks. 🙂
That’s great news for Andy’s Grand Experiment!
Yes, we’re so happy about that. 🙂
Hooray! some positive news that does all of our heart’s good!
XOXO
Thanks!
Yay for automatic!
Yes!
I’m so surprised! This is sure a testament to Andy’s craftsmanship. Just curious if he patented the design?
Yay! Yay! 😀
No, he’s happy to share the idea but he has no interest in a patent.
Oops. My comment is to Myra and I meant it for you and Andy.
Yay! Yay! 😀
Thanks! 😀
Wonderful the plants survived in the greenhouse.
Thanks. 🙂
Well that was good news about the plants!
Yes, thanks. 🙂
