I went up to the land with Andy yesterday to see all the new growth. There were grass and wildflowers (click here for some Flickr photos).
and mulleins,
and “pricker bushes” (New Mexico locusts).
It took Andy two hours of brush cutting to clear a path down to the old greenhouse.
He is not suffering from a lack of things to do!

Everything looks so healthy and vibrant.
Yes! It’s been a long time since we had a good rainy season.
yes the green against the rest of the forest looks great – may it continue to flourish
Thanks. 🙂
Everything is so green and beautiful. Seeing green just boosts my mood.
I know, it’s a real treat here.
Bob used the weed wacker for an hour yesterday and kept saying, I wonder why my back is hurting? well Duh! what did you do this morning I said. I wish he had a mountain near by to go and keep it cleared. that is a lot of hard work and amazing he can still do all that. that green stuff just comes bouncing back. If i had all those wild flowers my vases would be full of them
It may be a long time before we have another rainy season, so we’re making the most of it. 🙂
The sky in Pix #2 looks like something on a picture postcard — perfect!
In the old days we used to have skies like that all the time. 🙂
Keeping physically active is good!! At least I think so.
Yes. It is!!
No wonder Andy is so fit when he’s got so many challenging physical tasks lined up. I’m not sure I could manage two hours of brush cutting!
He does an hour at a time, two hours would be too much.
