My retirement heaven isn’t a remote Indonesian island like the one in yesterday’s post. It’s my iPad and Procreate, a drawing app. I can spend hours playing with it.
Saturday I tried my version of Henry, the playful dragon in the Wizard of Id.
A fun, and educational, way of spending a couple of hours.

Sweet, sweet, sweet!!!! And after reading your previous post, my 2nd Life I Wanna come back as a retired racehorse!!
π
I’d love to play with drawing apps but I’d probably not get anything else done.
I’m afraid my reaction is, “And what’s wrong with that?” π
I donβt have an iPad but if I did, Iβd definitely use Procreate!
I see a lot of illustrators using it on Instagram.
Very cool and looks fun!
But honestly, itβs best that I donβt have it because I already
have way too many projects and ideas half started.
I need to finish those up! Lol!
ps – love your dragon!

You’re wealthy with choices. π
I should look to see what drawing apps are available for android. That looks like fun.
It is fun. I’m guessing you will have a choice of Android apps.
I loved Wizard of Id. Looks like you’ve nailed the spring in his step … yay, you!
It does look bouncy and happy. π
Dont know the Wizard but love your dragon, looks like it should go on a kings flag as a standard, like coat of arms
I like it because it looks bouncy and happy. π
Where I ‘waste’ time at..is google maps/google earth. I can get on there to look up some place and just get to looking and spend an hour or two, if not more. I just have to really watch myself if I have something I have to do.
I don’t think that’s a waste of time. It’s too bad that chores intrude. π
I’m happy creating things – this last week, I created a small concertina book with mainly shop bought coloured papers, as the background layers – and yes it was fun, but I realised I like slapping paint on paper…so a couple of those shop bought papers have had a slap of other paint over them…
Also gluing bits of paper down on other paper, after I may have rejigged them like in inking the edges. Or using my sewing machine and stitching around and over other things…
Little things rock my boat
I think we’re lucky to have so many things that rock our boats. π
