Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day to anyone who is a mother, has dearly loved their mother, or both (like me).

When Andy came home from the store yesterday morning he wasn’t carrying groceries on his first trip in. He was carrying a Mother’s Day balloon and a big bouquet of flowers. I was surprised and delighted and asked him why…he had never done that before. He said he just saw them and wanted to do it.

I didn’t have a vase big enough for the bouquet, but fortunately I’m not Marie Kondo and found two old tall jars that worked.

How sweet was that? I keep telling Andy we have a great thing going here, please don’t mess it up by letting anything happen to him.

I hope you all have a great day too.

Happy Mothers Day! and yes it is a really sweet thing to do and they are beautiful in the jars and that is what i would do also.. i have 2 or 3 vases, but two are bud vases and the other one is on the kitchen table with fake flowers.

I love it when they do spontaneous things like this. Dave and I are not big on gifting. Which is why I will always remember that he bought me flowers for the fourth anniversary of the day we met. You and I got good ones, didn’t we?

I was looking at the flowers in the store the other day but didn’t buy any. Curses on me!

  5. Cute comeback, Jean! Those are more my kind of vases; I gave the pretty cut glass one to my DIL yesterday.
