If you were to take a swim in the clear blue waters surrounding Santa Cruz, California, in recent days, you may have encountered an unlikely predator. Small and dark, whiskered and fluffy, she has developed a knack for theft and a taste for surfboards.

Her name is 841. She is a sea otter.

    we saw this on the news a few days ago, showed her biting a surfboard. so maybe not only humans go crazy. LOL

    Well isn’t that interesting. Makes you wonder why caused this one to become more aggressive and why it’s taken a liking to surf boards.

  5. I saw this little mischief maker on the news a couple of times. She’s downright adorable, but I know can be dangerous too. Maybe they should be creative, and get her her own board. 🙂 –But I hope she’s found before she or someone gets hurt.

    and yes we have otters but I believe only at zoos…
