Andy didn’t use the brush cutter yesterday because of the Stage 2 fire restrictions. The restrictions include,
Operating a chainsaw, or other equipment powered by an internal combustion engine, is prohibited.
There is a fire to the northwest that became visible yesterday. It’s unlikely that the land or down here is in any danger, but you can see the smoke, even from space:
The National Weather Service says,
A very unusual period of critical fire weather is expected to
continue through Tuesday evening as exceptionally dry westerly flow impacts northern New Mexico.
Fingers crossed for everyone.

So sorry for the fire season is upon you once again prayers for you to be safe in your property to be safe. We all have some periods in time in the places we live that we have to think about what could happen like hurricanes and fire. I fear for all the precious critters that live where those fires are too not just the people for the wildlife and beautiful trees
I think we’re safe from this one. There are no guarantees, but we’re not worried.
This has got to be a very scary time of year for you.
Thanks, but Andy’s trying to keep that defensible space clear and we think this fire is far enough away.
Fingers crossed and prayers lifted that this year’s fire season turns out to be a dud.
Thanks!
We have had a fire burning about 10 miles from us for what seems like weeks. Apparently there is no one seriously threatened by it and it’s about half contained at last report.
Good!
Oh MY!!! I’m glad you are not in it’s way!
Thanks!
oh no, but I suspect the very hot weather would create such conditions…here’s hoping the fires do not come any closer!
Thank you. The fire was far enough away, and we actually got some rain yesterday and today, so things should be fine for a while.
