Scott the Rescue Pup

He’d had enough of being at the animal shelter, so Scout the dog climbed over one tall fence and then another, crossed a busy highway in the darkness, entered the automatic doors of a nursing home down the road, walked unnoticed into the lobby, hopped onto a couch, curled into a ball and quietly went to sleep for the night.

The staff of the nursing home named him Scott and phoned animal control, which took him back to the shelter. A few night’s later Scott was back and again was returned to the shelter. When he came back the third time the nursing home adopted him and the residents are thrilled. It’s a win-win for everyone.

How heart-warming is that?
