I think of cats, not dogs, being a problem with Christmas trees. But as soon as Kaitlin put up their tree this year Tempi knocked it over. She wasn’t interested in the tree, she was interested in getting the blanket Kaitlin was using as a tree skirt. The tree was incidental and wasn’t seriously damaged. (Unfortunately the same can’t be said of the good shoes Tempi has been finding and chewing on lately.)
And then there’s her escapade Tuesday morning. She talks about that here.
Life isn’t boring with that pup. (Or with Zoe either, for that matter.)

I am wondering if this is new behavior for Tempi? I don’t remember he chewing things and running away in past post. I am wondering if she is upset over the moves to different houses. back and forth… our first dog Max was a chewer but that stopped after we crated him when we were not home for a year. after that he neve chewed anything. Baby was a chewer of bob’s books but nothing else and was til the day she died
She’s run away before. There are a lot of deer in the area so she wants to chase them, and she’s smart enough to figure out how to get under the fence. Kaitlin thinks she’s chewing on shoes because sometimes Kaitlin has to leave too early in the morning and get home too late in the evening. It’s a long commute because of the traffic if she has an 8 am meeting.
Too cute, those comics!
Is Tempi having a mid-life crisis, I wonder? Maybe she just needs a new hot sportscar … I understand that works for some folks when they reach a certain age.
😀
That was a fun cartoon, silly Max! When we had pups they never bothered our Christmas Tree at all.
🙂
I had a dog who thought the tree stand was a great water dish. So far as I know he never lifted his leg on it though.
Thankfully Gibbs has never been much of a chewer unless it’s something paper. He loves to rip up paper.
That’s interesting that he sticks to paper. 🙂
The joke is cute. Oh my, sorry about her tree being knocked over and the chewing of the shoes.
🙂
