I came across these yesterday:
Life is not about how fast you run or how high you climb, but how well you bounce.
– Vivian Komori
When it comes to life the critical thing is, whether you take things for granted or take them with gratitude.
– Gilbert Chesterton
Amen to both of those! I especially like the idea of being bounceable. 🙂
It was another great day here — sunny in the morning, some nice rain in the afternoon:
How was your day?
May 16, 2024
It’s time for umbrellas … what?
I like both these quotes. In difficult times we should be able to bounce back.
God bless.
I’ll have to find mine. 🙂
I love that rain photo, and we had not one but two blessed rains yesterday. the quotes are both so true. I still bounce but not as high as I used to. ha ha
😀 I’m glad you had some rain too. You’ve been abnormally dry.
I love both, but the first has made my day.
Mine too!
I identify more with the second quote … but the first made me LOL.
See, years ago after I did an inexplicable face plant on the sidewalk outside my office building, I recall making a blog post titled, “These bones don’t bounce.”
PS – I tried responding to your e-mail last evening, but it disappeared. Like Blogger, there’s some strange goings-on lately.
The whole world is crazy!
Popping over from Catalyst’s blog, and had to laugh about the bounce quote, because that’s what I say about my well-padded self. At least no bones get broken when I fall.
As for rain, we seem to get nothing but that this month here in West Virginia. So soggy it will need days of dry before we can get in the gardens again.
It’s nice to have a happy medium.
Those are two good quotes. Hooray for some rain. I had an okay day.
Thanks. 🙂
I like both of these quotes. Chesterton has lots of really good ones.
Yes. 🙂
Bounce is much better than splat.
Amen to that!
Love both the quotes. I do agree, you gotta be able to bounce 🙂
Especially in these crazy times.
…I’m not fast, can’t climb and don’t bonce well. So I’ll won’t take things for granted, but will take them with gratitude.
Sounds good to me!
I just came home and okayed your comment, Jean.
Thanks.
Thank you for your e-mail. I have responded separately. I don’t know why Blogger has not recorded your comment on my Blog. I shall ask my “techie” to investigate.
God bless always.
Thanks. 🙂
Those are both really good ones!
🙂
I like both of those quotes!
I’m glad. 🙂
