We had an appointment in the afternoon, so he worked on doing research on batteries for our photovoltaic system.
The present batteries are 10 years old and towards the end of their warranty. They are starting to show some signs of age, but they should be good for a couple more years. So he’s looking at the same kind of battery plus another kind of battery that would need less attention once it’s installed. Kaitlin and Torben will decide whether to wait or try to put new batteries in now…assuming our solar fellow can do it, of course.
Anyway, Andy has done his part and we’ll see what happens. Needless to say, the project has given his little grey cells a good workout.

…I’m glad that Andy is so detail oriented. Technical things go right over my head, Being older than 10, by batteries are running low too.

I have never heard of this kind of battery. But then, I’m always learning things from you!
You only need them if you want to use solar power. Our place up there is off the grid.
I hope the batteries are not overly expensive.

He’s had a lot of experience with electronics, etc. It’s good mental exercise.
We are glad Andy knows all about those things. We have a hard enough time trying to figure out the size of battery needed:). Great ways to keep the brain cells alert.

Andy looks right at home behind a desk or working outside. He’s good at keeping busy. Research can sometimes be rewarding for me and other times quite frustrating.
Sometimes it takes a lot of patience.
good job on the brain cells and he can always play music on garage band on iPad. ha ha… I looked up photovoltaic system to see what he is doing and the schematic I found hurt my brain cells just looking at it.
