We Lucked Out

We decided to go up to the land for a picnic supper Wednesday, even though it was overcast. Shortly after we got there the sun came out and everything was bathed in late afternoon golden light.

We even saw a rainbow.

the view from your home and of your home and the greenhouse is just amazing. no wonder Andy loves to spend his days there. It is absolutely stunning, like owning your own Yellowstone Park.. what a place to picnic

  7. Will you stay up there at some point over the summer? Inquiring minds want to know.

    • Jean says:

No, we like sleeping down here. Kaitlin, Torben and the pups will stay there when they come for a while. It will be theirs in a few short years.

This rainbow is really shooting out of the clouds! My rainbow shots always come out so pale for some reason. And what is that thing in the field that it is pointing at?

    • Jean says:

It’s the fireplace we bought about 47 years ago to safely burn some of the slash (dead branches, trees, etc.) covering the clearing. We didn’t use it very long for that, but we kept the fireplace as a marker of snow levels in winter.
