Who made it home? Why is it worth mentioning? “Who” is Torben, and it’s worth mentioning because he was in the San Francisco Bay area with a flight back to Massachusetts yesterday. Because of the massive CloudStrike outage it wasn’t clear for a while what would happen to his flight. It turned out fine, and he was lucky it wasn’t worse for him, but still….

Yes
apparently there were problems here but it didn’t affect me
…CloudStrike, an important company that few ever heard of before this week.
I was glad daughter was not traveling. But it affected almost everyone’s computer.. luckily she and her two had not turned on their computers at home.. so did not hit hers, though she was wondering how it woukd be on e shecturned it on and it updated.
What a disaster!
Whew! Before we saw the news, Tom was practically accusing me of messing with our computer settings. (Think: Blind leading the blind, lol)
I’m sure not every traveler would agree, but I sort of felt sorry for CloudStrike’s CEO during that televised interrogation … er, interview.
we saw all day long for the past 2 days, it is really scary that it can happen and stop planes all over the entire world. I am so glad Torben got home safely. we don’t travel and none of our friends/family travel except of course our e friends like you with Torben.. millions were effected. I did not notice anything on my computer
Thank goodness!!!
I sure am glad I wasn’t out and about in that mess!
That is wonderful for Torben. The stories on the news today of all the people stuck at the Atlanta airport were so sad. Amazing what one small glitch can do to disrupt so many lives.
I don’t follow the news so this is the first I’ve heard about this. Glad Torben was able to get back home.
That one lady who said this is why I always carry cash has the right idea. Amazing how one little glitch can cause so much havoc. I wonder how this will effect the company that makes the software
