A lot has been going on. One of the big challenges was trying to close the door when I went to the bathroom in my wheelchair. It helped a lot when I ordered a couple of things from Amazon and used the wrapping to enhance the handle.
Then today I talked to the occupational therapist about the problem. She didn’t understand why it was such a problem for me and had me show her. Oh, yeah. She decided my door arrangement was different from most, but more importantly Iām not allowed to bend forward or to the side because of my hip. It turns out that makes a huge difference. She did replace my package with a theraband, which makes it even easier.
Iām still chuffed that I found a solution.

Sometimes you have to be creative, hooray you!
Thanks! š
Where there’s a will, there is a way.. and I bet you were always good at coming up with ideas.
Thanks! š
You are not only super smart, but very inventive and clever as well! Good for you! It is pretty much just as good as the therapist’s solution!
I’m not surprised you found a solution. Your brain works amazingly well!
You have great ingenuity. Closing that bathroom door was important. Glad you found a remedy and then got some help with an even better one. Hang in there.
Way to go! ?
Oops … That was supposed to be a smiley face
excellent – it’s only your hip and lower body that’s not well – everything top side is in working order – showing the OT your solution even better – and privacy of certain needs is very important
how is Andy?
so happy to see you hear and wow, maybe you taught them a lesson for others in your situation.. I am not posting or commenting for a couple days, back soon, love you
Where there’s a will, there’s a way. I imagine right now you are experiencing all kinds of challenges. I have no doubt you will find solutions to all of them.
I’m glad you were able to figure that out. You are in my prayers.
