The occupational therapist said I needed a dressing stick, but she didn’t have one to give me. So I ordered it from Amazon and it came this morning.
I already had a grabber, and this device was a good complement.
I didn’t have any physical therapy today, so haven’t had a chance to practice with the walker, which I really need. But I am getting more adept at using the wheel chair, a skill I hope I’ll never have to use again.

looks like you have the right care – to be semi independent as you heal – please don’t overdo it though – time is also a wonderful healer
The important thing is to stay in shape while giving the hip a chance to heal.
You are finding all kinds of tools to help you throughout your day.
Yes. They’re a blessing.
my first thought was, the stick could also scratch the middle of my back. it only itches where I can’t reach.. are you any closer to moving back to hometown? you are doing great creating your blog on iPad.. you will be iPad expert by the time you get back to your computer..
Apparently they’ve started the process of moving me back yesterday. No news so it will clearly be a while.
For some reason; my comments never show up. Three days now! Are they in the Spam folder?
God bless.
I found them and took them out.
I bet we are all going to learn things through your experience. I hope thisxworks great.
Thanks.
…and if you get mad, it can be used as a handy weapon.
😀
Really good to know about these aids. We take so much for granted.
Yes.
I’m so glad these aids were invented!
Giggling in remembrance how we once-5th graders pitched in to buy our teacher a zipper-pull device for her birthday (“because she was single and needed one” we presumed).
That was so sweet! I’ll bet she loved it.
There sure is lots of useful tools out there!
It is very interesting about all the things that are out there to help you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
You are getting really good care. Who knew there were so many items that assist in independence.
You are sharing some great aids with us. We wish you didn’t have to, but we appreciate them. Hope the walker help comes along soon.
