The rule used to be no dogs on the couch. But Kaitlin and Torben decided that didn’t make sense, just protect the couch with a sheet and let Tempi enjoy it. A wise decision and a happy pup.

we used to do the sheet thing, always have, but then we bought leather that is easier to clean,now we have FIVE pillows and I have to do Dog Laundry with sheets and pillow cases, the sheets are on the dog beds to keep from washing the beds… so glad Tempi can sleep on the sofas. I see both of them have leashes on most of the time. is that for going in and out on the mountain top
They usually stay around us, unless they smell an elk. There are a lot of mountain lions and bears here so it isn’t safe for them to run around. One of our neighbors actually came and warned us to keep the girls on leashes due to the wildlife.
They are 30ft leashes so they can move around between the porch, yard, and living room (unless we are on a walk or in a fenced area).
I think it’s easier to find a solution that makes everyone happy instead of trying to keep them off the furniture. That couch is just the right size for Tempi

The pups have flea collars so there hasn’t been a problem.
Daughter has things she puts over stuff for Copper.

Tempi looks totally relaxed!!! The pups here don’t get to be on the furniture. Even with a sheet there is too much fur left behind:)
That makes sense. Tempi and Zoe don’t seem to shed that much.
