That Wasn’t True

When Andy ordered his new phone they said they no longer sold the old model. He said he wanted one with big buttons and they said the buttons on the new one were even bigger than the ones on his old one. That wasn’t true. The old model is on the left, the new one on the right.

That part was a step down, but it seems to work down here. We’re still comparing it with the old model (mine) up on the land to make sure the reception is as good, At least he has a phone again so I can contact him.

I don’t think those who sell the phones know too much about anything with a old to new model

I’m getting used to a new laptop – it’s very sensitive the whole caper but here I am tonight typing on it just fine! Which has surprised me because up until now it’s had to be basically different, because I couldn’t seen to touch type on the other laptop if recent months

the new one is no where near the old in size of buttons, I am happy to hear it works, not good to be out of touch. it is not just about touch, its about sight also and the old one is much easier to see.

    …I miss my flip phone.

Not only are they not as big, but the contrast is not there.

Happy to hear it works, but what a let-down!
I can’t speak for your carrier, but our experiences (Verizon, I’m looking at you) with salespeople has been less than stellar.

I think Andy was pleased with the person who helped him. We go to someone who sells Verizon products. It costs a lot more but it’s worth it for us.

  6. Nope, not true. At least it works.

In my simple opinion, the numbers on the newer one are smaller. My brother purchased a similar phone about a month ago and he has already had to go back to the verizon office two times. His calls just drop for no reason… Hoping this gets fixed for him soon. Glad this one works for Andy.

    • Jean says:

Thanks for the warning. Andy’s worked today for texting but his phone call dropped while we were talking. Unfortunately that’s not unusual with any phone up there. That’s why we have internet and the Garmin.

  8. Hope it all works out okay. They definitely are not as big.

They change the phone models very quickly! I guess so you have to keep spending money. They say it is because phones need to keep up with technology, but I’m not so sure about that. Let’s see.. the O.K. button does look a little bigger. But the numbers are not as dark, so it is harder to see them. I like the old one better. This new one will probably be replaced in about a year, and so it goes…

I will not use anything but a flipphone. Smart phones track you and put too much stuff on a phone that does not need to be there.

  11. Ann Thompson says:

Well whoever was selling him the phone certainly didn’t know what they were talking about.

  12. I got a flip phone not too long ago to get away from all the “noise”. I gave nobody the number but started getting around 40 spam calls a day. I turned it off and went back to my smart phone.
