Yes, that’s me! That’s why when I go on a trip, even if it’s just a for the day, a few hours, I always bring things to play with. And that’s why before I left the ER with my broken hip I made sure I had my iPad and my Kindle with me. The Kindle was just in case I didn’t have internet, but mostly I used my iPad those 45 days I was away from home. My blog, friends, and connection with what was going on in the world, were in that little device.

I’m that way too. Wednesday I forgot my phone at work and didn’t want to go back to get it. I was lost all night without it. Thankfully I had the computer and kindle and iPad at home to help me through. How did I ever survive before I had all these electronic devices.
Yes! π
me too what you and Ann said… before cell and Kindle, I took a book with me where ever I went. Doctor wating room, I always read.. unless of course I can find another TALKER to talk to me
π
Isn’t technology wonderful.
God bless.
π
…I’m dead in the water without my desktop computer.
π
I’ll raise my hand here as well with the rest of you….Got to have the technology devices. Another thing I have to have when in the car and Sam is driving is my traveling Pillow. I know…..it sounds crazy, but I always have a full size pillow in my lap if we are in the car OR is I’m sitting in my chair at home! guess I’ll never grow up.
π
We are lost without our phones these days, and yes add ipad and or laptop
π
I’ll join the chorus. Yes, me too.
π
Me, three! Practically my whole world is in my cellular.
π
I know what you mean!! Absolutely!
For me it is my cell phone and my laptop. π
π
This is me, too! But I prefer to call them tools rather than toys!
π
Can’t leave home without it…..exactly!
π
Me, too. I never leave home without my phone and iPad. My phone stays in my pocket except when I’m sleeping, using it, or charging it.
π
Add me to the echo chamber. I love my toys and take them with me.
π
I am the exact same way – it is our lifeline! A way to get to our loved ones!
π
I agree. When I was in the hospital I took my laptop with me.
π
I always take toys, too.. and used to I would also take something that required hand sewing.
Hand sewing or knitting are great things to take.
Itβs amazing how a little device can keep you connected to everything that matters, even during challenging times. I can imagine that having your iPad and Kindle with you made those 45 days much more manageable. It’s so important to stay connected, whether itβs through blogging, reading, or just keeping up with the world. You’re a real testament to staying resilient and making the best of a tough situation!
