Another Reason to Love Technology

This was a 2016 picture of the Silver Sneakers class I went to before Covid. I’m in the middle row, the third from the left.

These are pictures I took of my TV screen yesterday morning. It’s still Silver Sneakers, and the teacher is the same, but I don’t have to go out in the cold to participate. I just Zoom it to my iPad and mirror it to my TV.

How great is that?

…our 12 year old granddaughter has recently hab major surgery and technology is AMAZING!

  3. I think it’s pretty great. You had a large group when you were attending in person.

Great idea! Even going back to the days of high-school gym I loathed exercising in front of others.

  5. Technology has some amazing advantages and uses, that’s for sure! 🙂

This is really cool! And you are so cute! How often do they meet?

This is GREAT. How awesome that you can do all this from your iPad. My oldest daughter is working on her Master’s degree and all of her classes are online virtually just as if she is sitting in the classroom…

  8. DB Stewart says:

Yes. As an introvert, this is the only way I’d exercise in “public.”

  9. Ann Thompson says:

Technology sure is an amazing thing. This would work for me because going to any kind of exercise class doesn’t appeal to me. I feel like I’m way too uncoordinated to do any of that stuff with other people around.

this is great, did not know about this one. before Covid, I went 5 days a week to the local YMCA, since 2006, when I retired. the first 10 years I went in the Gym with treadmill, stepper, and did the weight machines, then the last 4 was walking in the pool for 40 minutes a day, 5 days a week. I never went back after Covid, for IBS reasons.
if anyone doesn’t want to do the zoom classes, there are hundreds of YouTube videos that great. if you can’t stand do the sit down, I have used them a lot and I play music and dance around.. Anything that makes us MOVE is excercise

  11. That’s pretty awesome that you can do the class from home.
