Springtime in the Rockies

As usual, March is windy. This is what it looked like Monday:

It was even worse up on the land. Andy didn’t try to take a walk, he even had some trouble opening the car door.

Another sign of spring — the apricot tree by the basketball court was trying to blossom:

Unfortunately the low temperature that night was 22°F.

  3. Still cold here.

    God bless.

  4. Ann Thompson says:

That is windy. We’ve had a few days with a lot of wind. Makes it tough opening doors sometimes.

  5. MadSnapper says:

we had 30 hours of 25 mph with gusts to 40 and 50.. it was wild, nothing but wind and the howling sounds it made.. hope the blooms can make fruit. glad Andy is safe

  6. Shug says:

those are some strong winds….Hoping the winds don’t take all the apricot blooms flying through the air.

  7. That’s windy! March is also a windy month here. But no Rockies or apricot trees!

  8. It is always windy up in Fargo…from just breezy to the rattle the windows and pound and howl against the house variety. When I first moved here in 1999 I found it unnerving that it was never still here. Now still air is unnerving–lol! 🙂

  9. Ginny Hartzler says:

I don’t think I have ever seen a blooming apricot tree! I hope you show us when it blooms. Yikes, the wind! It has been bad here, too. You really have to watch getting out of cars, I have had the car door slam on my leg before.

  10. Myra Guca says:

    Goodness, that’s really something!
It’s windy and cool here, also. Look what our weather guy posted yesterday: “Dusty skies are likely tomorrow – strong surface wind has kicked New Mexican dust thousands of feet into the air, that dust is now being carried by the jet stream towards Alabama. You’ll likely see a light brown tint to the sky.”

Who knows, it may be someplace I know!

  11. Girl we are right there with you on the wind. It must be windy all over the world.

  12. It’s been very windy at our place too!

  13. Yes, those winds can be so terrible at times. We never like them. The tree is very pretty. Have a nice weekend.

  14. The OP Pack says:

We keep getting all those BIG winds here too. It IS March, but enough is enough. I have never seen an apricot tree, never mind one in bloom – so pretty. Hope the cold didn’t harm it.
