The shark needed help because a plastic line was tightly wrapped around his head and was cutting into its skin. Fortunately the diver was brave enough to help it. (Click on the photo for the video.)

I am thankful he was brave enough to help, but I would not even be IN that water much less snipping lines… that would be a horrible death for the shark.
I wouldn’t be there either!
How awesome that he did that. That would be a bit scary getting that close to a shark.
Yes!
Very brave.
God bless.
Yes.
Wonderful

…plastic, the miracle material.
It will still be there after we are gone.
I am glad the shark seems okay. Boy do we mess up the oceansβ¦
Yes!
It makes me mad that so much trash ends up killing animals in the water and on land. The first time I saw it happen with my own eyes when a bird was caught in the plastic band that come on a six pack. I have never not cut those bands in to pieces before putting it in the trash since then.
Those divers are brave who help sharks
Good for you!
Given the number of shark attacks in our Gulf waters last year, I’m not so inclined to visit. Nevertheless, this reminds me of Mariah Carey’s splendid song lyric, “Then a hero comes along ….”

It is very sad that marine life suffers from such things left behind by humans. Thankful for the person who helped this shark.
Yes.
That was marvelous!! π

Plastic in the sea is causing all kinds of problems for fish and animals now. So are fishing lines, which stick in the mouths of penguins and other birds.
It’s so sad.
That was so awesome of him to do that.
Yes.
This is a good person.
Yes.
One word:
AWESOME!
Yes!
That diver was very brave. We hope the shark appreciated his help. It looked like the smaller fish were trying to help too.
