Fifty Days Ago…

I posted Inching Along, about how I had used Duolingo for 700 days and that I was still doing a little bit each day. That’s been enough to keep my streak going and to learn a little more without it being too onerous.

I am now celebrating my

The celebrating is important to me. It keeps me going and makes me happy.

Often for me persistence works better than goal setting. Goals for me can be too motivating. They encourage me to focus too much on the goal and let other parts of my life slide. And right now my life is full of these “other parts” so inching along on Spanish works just fine.

What about you? Are you working/playing with anything that brings you joy?

…I just wake up each day and try to make it a great day.

I am so proud of you!! Congratulations on your 750 day steak. I am inching along at leaning how to cook in a healthy way for Sam…and for me.

Fantastic, has seemed like it was just a few months since you started and now, I am shocked at 750 days. wow and I just checked and its been 1 year and a week since I got my iPad in the mail and started messing about with procreate drawing. that is my go to for R&R or when I need soothing.
Now I am thinking, I really should be better than I am since its been that long. I too must be inching along

Worrying about results, whether something is good or bad, ruins the experience. Remember Kurt Vonnegut and do it to feed your soul.

    Yay!! Nice job!!

  7. Congratulations! I have slipped but I will get back to it. I need to follow a routine and the routine has been broken for several days.

I am so impressed! My joy comes from photography and helping others when needed.

  9. I have written in my grateful journal for about 30 years now. It changed my life.

How can it be 750 days already!
I’m not consciously working on anything right now — rather, the joy of being part of a sisterhood (Bible study) the likes of which I never knew before.

  11. That is amazing, congratulations!

You should be so proud of yourself. Great going. Right now I am plodding along trying to finish another afghan to send off to college with one of the grands. The twins boy/girl graduated from high school this May, and so far I am keeping up with my tradition of making each of the six a special blanket to take with them. The sister of the twins and on of my other grandsons are each heading into their fourth year of college. They each have an afghan from me too. After the twins, two more grandsons to go:)

Way to go. You’re doing great with that.
The thing that’s keeping me going the most right now is the crafting. Mostly it’s been sewing but I’ve done a couple other things as well.
