It started when I posted a casual photo with a comment something like this: “It’s a cold wet horrible mid-winter day. Time to wear my funny hat.” Implying: “My orange bobble hat hand-knitted in the Malvinas always makes people laugh, and we need a laugh today.” That hat is not a fashin statement. It’s a gift to humanity, a hat with a mind of its own. I love it when my clothes cheer people up.
It was so kind of you to tell me, “Yor fashin statement sucks.” I was thrilled and answered straight away, “Thanks! That’s great!”

Hurray for Rachel, and for anyone who tries to put a bit more cheer into this poor old world.

I love that hat.
🙂
…who cares what others think!
🙂
I love her hat.
I use a very bright colorful Laurel Burch cat bag that makes people smile and often comment.
🙂
one of my long list of fears and on it since childhood, is what others think of the way I look. I would not wear the hat. Its a fun and oh so cute hat and she looks so happy, well done Rachel. even now that I know looks don’t matter I still care way to much
🙂
Forget the hat! I love her pants.
🙂
This may be off the topic a bit, but I find it very funny when the Anonymous reader leaves degrading comments, always criticizing what is going on. I say, wear what you makes you happy and if it gives others a smile, then you have added some joy in the world.
🙂
Sandra just took the words out of my mouth. I, too, have always strived to “look right” … or at least, invisible.
I wonder what might happen if I turned over a new leaf?
🙂
The internet certainly has encouraged rudeness. I once shaved my head. I don’t think I’ve ever had much concern about how people view me!
🙂
I love it!!! This woman is a real gem.
🙂
Fun!
🙂
Fun hat!
🙂
I wear what I want regardless of what people think. I pull my trousers all the way up to my nipples and hold them there with a leather belt and braces for extra measure. This reveals that I wear socks of different colour. If people mention it I say I have a pair exactly the same colours at home. I also wear pink, or green or bright orange shirts and ties of non-matching colours. People have told me that I am fashionable and a sex symbol for the woman who doesn’t care.
God bless.
🙂
Yes the internet and comments have certainly changed…
🙂
HA! I like that hat too!
🙂
Anything that brings joy into life is a good thing!
Yes! 🙂
Man, you are so right – you have to have some joy and cheer in life to get along.
🙂
I love this and I love her hat. That person who said her fashion statement sucks is just plain mean. How fun to wear something just to make someone else smile.
I agree about the commenter!
