Party Time

This reminds me of when Kaitlin and Torben came to visit in 2008. They talked us into switching to Apple, so we all went to Santa Fe to buy my first Macbook. This is the picture of us “partying” when we got back to the apartment.

I smile every time I think of it. What’s your idea of a great party?

The cartoon is delightful ? My kind of party.

I see what happened. I am on my cellphone and when I clicked on the smiley face emoticon it becomes a question mark on your blog.

I have seen parties like this where a group of people are at a table with cell phones but this is my first party of Mac books. since I am now a party of one, I can’t come up with what my party would be. it would not be put me to bed with a cat, but to bed with a book

The only partying I do these days is when I have my kids and their families over. Other than that a party is me and Gibbs lounging on the couch

…I’ve never been a party guy.

    I am with your meme!

I don’t like parties anymore but I used to through parties once or twice a year. Lots of cooking and baking which I enjoyed. I’m a terrible host now, people have to be self sufficient at my house.

  8. That’s about my style of good party! 🙂

  9. I had a lot of parities in my late 20s and in my 30s. People moved away, then we moved and it changed. I have had a couple of parties here in the hinter land in the early 2000s, all buffet style. Now it’s a party of two with cats!

That was a pretty neat party you all had there at the table. My style of party is not very exciting. I do like to gather with friends but what I call fun is most likely not what others call having a party..

  11. Just sitting and talking!

I don’t party anymore but my favorite memory of one is when extended family was playing cards and we tried to play Hell and Hearts at the same time–predict how many tricks you will take but try not to get the Queen of Spades.

This would be my idea of a party too!! Just add some donuts.

Family, good food, and some fun board games:). I will never regret the day I got my first Macbook. I will never go back.

  15. Myra Guca says:

So far I’ve resisted any Apple products. I’m told Mac produces superior graphics, but I fear that’s above this gal’s paygrade.
My idea of a good time is quiet time spent with my son and family … best enjoyed over a good meal.

  16. Evening playtime with the kitties is the only way I party!

  17. Kaitlin says:

I remember that trip! Love this!

Hi Jean, thanks for the clarification. I am referring to why my smiley face turned into a question mark. I now know it is WordPress.
