I’m in Love!

I had an interesting experience the other morning. I was awake and contemplating getting up when I had this great feeling of love — for my comfortable, cozy bed. No, it’s not a new one, it’s the same one I’ve been sleeping in for 59 years now. And when I thought about it, it wasn’t just the bed, it was also my apartment, which I’ve been living in for almost 50 years, and for my life, which keeps changing but which I love more and more.

As I’ve said, I agree with Hobbes. (For higher resolution, click on the picture.)

Me too! The older I get, the more and more I really appreciate things! I think this is due to several reasons. And I have laid in bed in the morning just thinking of how thankful I am for Phil, the bed, the house, and the health we still have left.

  8. So many people are suffering now, being out of work, that it’s almost criminal not to appreciate what we have.

I made an Apple Crisp yesterday. It’s unbelievably sweet but so-o-o-o-o-o good! I think it’s a fall specialty but I could eat it any time of year.

  11. It’s hard to beat a good comfy cozy!

Those inexplicable feelings of love often cross my mind in the early mornings, too. Better than a hug!

Here in my most recent home, coming to.2 years. Technically size wise I should have a smaller bed, but everything I think about downsizing I realisevi love this wide bed…
I’ve no lounge chair or couch, but if need be there are reasonable chairs out in our wing. Bring them in and seats. Or sit on my bed, take your pick where…
I splashed on an Ecosa mattress when my previous mattress sprung too many springs. It’s got special layers of memory foam.

Hobbes does make an excellent point. I mean, I totally dislike winter but it does make me appreciate the other seasons even more.

  16. Ah! Now I know which is which. Never saw this as a kid. Sorry.
I totally agree with Hobbes!! πŸ˜‰

I love Calvin and Hobbes.. you have reminded me I need to focus on what I loved in this storm I am in.. In my before life, when Bob stopped walking, I would come around the corner from hall into our living area and stop and look around and think how much I love our living space. I need to try harder to see past the turmoil and see if it can still give me joy. I can say that Beau gives me Joy every time I watch him sleeping, every time he looks up into my eyes, when he leans on me, and asked for petting. that is when joy finds me.
