About Those Cartoons

Some some commenters have said I have artistic talent. No, not at all! Ask me to draw something and you’re lucky if I can do a stick figure. I didn’t even draw those by hand. I searched and searched for bits of them that I could modify, and I assembled them in Photoshop. Then I revised and revised and revised by cutting and pasting and redrawing with my mouse. It took me days to do each one. But I wasn’t blogging every day — or trying to get to bed at a decent time — and they made me happy.

Here are three more that I still like:

I beg to differ – you do have artistic talent – I remember as a kid being frustrated I could never draw as well as you – you are good (regardless of how you did these – that takes talent too). I love these!

I agree with Kaitlin….You do have artistic talents! Not only in your drawings, but in your words as well. I love the look on the “Daily Fortune one” .. LOL. That could be me.. again LOL.

  6. You do have ability and you also have great humor!

I love the Daily Fortune one. Well, still, you have such talent at putting these together the way you edited and arranged them!

I am late to this one, I agree with all the comments, including Kaitlin’s. You are doing what I do and doing it well. I love cut/paste/drag/draw and you are the queen of moodling. this is a prime example of moodling. plus they made me giggle and smile…

perhaps not artistic talent in the sense that you can draw but it does take talent to create something like this in a program like photoshop. Photoshop itself is not necessarily an easy program to learn.
That being said, I like them all and the best part is you had fun creating them

  11. Being able to draw is only part of art – you have to be able to bring it together which you have. Daily Fortune is me!
