Absolutely. I use Google umpteen times every day. Can’t imagine how I coped before Google came along – having to visit the local reference library or ring someone up to get the information I wanted.
i love google.
i have a little ritual when i first turn my computer on.
as the screen is coming up.
i always say “hello world!” and it’s true. right there. all of it. even the most remote parts of it.
it never ceases to amaze and thrill me.
even though there are moments when i want to never turn it on! LOLOL.
yep, a bestie.
I just Googled cheerful monk because I’m at work and it of course isn’t saved in the favorites on my work computer! LOL!
Yep, my friend Google has introduced me to all my other wonderful friends!
Love that Google!
🙂
One trivial thing I use it for is to check the spelling of words. Used to go to our big dictionary, but it was a pain to do and a lot of new words and phrases aren’t even in it!
I wanted a phone number this morning, yes I could troll through White Pages online – but Google was faster, and I was at the website in case there was a better way to contact the company – “ticked it off my list, fast as well”
I have used others over the years, some of them quite cute in name but also just as powerful for the era they represented…

It puts so much more information at our fingertips, which in my case expands my world. I’m so grateful.
I’m thinking if that’s how Goat describes friends he doesn’t really know what one is. Then again, he does hang around with a pig and a rat lol
😀
I would be lost without the big G!
I would be very sad. It’s been a real blessing.
Incidentally Google is a noun and a verb now!
It’s been a verb for a long time. It’s just too useful.

I agree. It’s like a window to the world. We can explore as much as we like without even leaving home.

I use Duck Duck Go – they don’t record you. But search engines are definitely one of my best friends.
I’ll have to look up Duck Duck Go. It’s a cute name.

Yes, it’s such a powerful tool. I’m grateful.
