You can’t blame a guy for trying — Calvin should get an A for creativity at least. Have you ever heard an ingenious reason/excuse for not doing something?

  1. Working in a dental office, I hear the excuses daily about why people don’t brush or floss. The latest from a patient, a middle aged man that says he doesn’t seen the need to brush or floss or take care of himself because he doesn’t have a girlfriend… I told him that if he did, maybe he would. I don’t know if he’d thought of that or not, we’ll see in 6 mos.

I can think of one straight away. There is a senior citizen who sits next to me on the bench at our local park and comments on my walks frequently. I asked him why he cannot join me on a few rounds for exercise and he said that he comes to the park to take in fresh air and to meet people and not to exercise!

Well, I thought about using the excuse that it was against my religious principles in an effort to get out of signing up for Obamacare.
Not because for religious reasons really but of my mistrust of most medical things.
Sadly, I looked it up and if I went with that, I’d miss out on my social security too.
    Blah.

I thought you didn’t have to sign up for Obamacare if you’re willing to pay a fine. A lot of young folks have decided the fines are less expensive and they’re willing to gamble because they’re in good health.

“The dog ate my homework” is still the best excuse that comes to mind. I don’t remember any of my schoolmates ever using it though. Perhaps they didn’t have dogs. Not that that would have stopped them inventing one.

I can’t think of any cute one right now – but there must have been over they years – occasionally you see “reasons” in regards to insurance claims – some of them are hilarious…
