This actually made me think about something I heard recently.
They reported there has been a large amount of deaths occurring because people have taken big risks while trying to take selfies!
I shy away from selfies myself because every time I try to take one this old fat woman jumps into the frame. Jeez.
:p
LOL!
It seems that we are avoiding actually living our lives, and choosing to experience the world through our phones. It appears to be a world wide phenomena and won’t be easing off anytime soon! I wonder what electronic marvel will grab our collective attention next, since this fad can’t last forever (or not!).
I remember mentioning that years ago when some friends were going on a trip and planned to take gazillions of pictures with their cameras. They didn’t understand my point of view, which was fine too.
it appears maybe the world has too much SELF esteem!
and not enough esteem for others.
as one who finds sociology fun to think about it’s fascinating!
remember what happened to narcissus though…
but then… he distained those who loved him.
this modern selfie group in love with its own image is the opposite.
they want the WHOLE WORLD to love them!
are we already drowning like narcissus?
such an interesting thought!
I remember when vanity was a “bad thing!” LOLOL!

LOLOL!!!
I agree with tammy, LOLOL! I take pictures of other people so I don’t have to be in them.

Oh, I don’t know. It doesn’t appeal to me, but who’s to say?
I suppose if you are so inclined you do it – I would rather take a picture of the scene rather than plaster myself into it….
Me too!
