or even what we read.
once on the old tv show ‘the beverly hillbillies’ …
jethro told his uncle jeb… “you gotta believe it uncle jeb! it’s right here printed in this here paper!” LOL
I still remember one of my teachers in high school making outlandish remarks and saying, “It must be true. I read it in a book!” That’s one lesson that stuck with me. 🙂
and then is the plant in the pot at the nursery – recently a friend of mine (blog-wise) bought a pot plant and thought it said grows to 1.5 metres – but in fact after she got it home it actually said 15 metres! The writing on the label so minute…
and then there is the new saga with a package – expecting it today – because some fool sent “to be signed in front of courier” to my new address, 6 days ago – even though I wasn’t ever going to be there!
(I did find out one little extra when I called/redirection, they already had my phone number, so why they didn’t call it – when the flat would have been totally empty – the previous tenants had already moved out… even if I hadn’t answered the phone, I have an message service in place)! I think some severe staff training is in order here…….
anyway hope it arrives this morning, whatever “it is” – as I want to go & get keys and then go up to new pad…
This comic makes me think of Blue!
I got him as a puppy. He was 8-9 weeks old.
They knew his mom was a Great Dane but weren’t for sure about the dad.
But his feet were HUGE so people joked that he was a pony!
LOL!
(I must admit that I’m one of the people Still the Lucky Few writes about.
I used to believe everything and now I believe very little.)

There are multitudes of people who are willing to listen to others and live totally unsuitable lives.
Sadly yes.

It will be a relief when the move is over! Good luck.
Years ago I believe we were more trusting, even gullible. Our culture has become much more cynical since. In some ways, it’s a loss.
I think it depends on where people were living. I think back then people were suspicious in some areas. But it seems to be getting more widespread.

It’s sad to lose one’s trust, isn’t it? But it may be wise.
