    It’s been interesting already.

(On a separate topic, per our recent discussion, I was asked to come back to work after the holidays — personally rewarding work at decent pay at age 65.)

I don’t think I have felt being such a part of ‘history in the making’ for a long time. not since I protested the viet nam war as a student!
    great cartoons.
actually our president elect IS a cartoon. can’t help looking at him that way.
I try not to. but it’s just THERE!
and a rather dangerous cartoon at that.

He apparently has decided not to try to look presidential. He’s comfortable with his present style and so far it’s working for him.

    • Jean says:

I take that back. His supporters argue that no matter what he does it will by definition be presidential. It’s just not what we used to expect of a president.

I’ve started reading Scott Adams blog (creator of Dilbert) and I’m feeling a lot better! Maybe running our country as if it was a business won’t be so bad after all. I’ve never known a business to hugely overpay for parts, for instance.

    • Jean says:

I just started reading that blog today. I was searching for the article last Spring when he predicted that Trump would be president. He does seem to understand Trump and public relations better than the press does.

    • Mike says:

I’ve been reading his blog for a couple of years now. In part, it’s probably part of the reason I wasn’t particularly surprised with the election results. Even though I thought that Hillary would win, I also thought Donald had a chance.

    • Jean says:

When Clinton appeared to be a shoo-in he still stuck with his prediction that Trump would win.

For the sake of entertainment, I’ll stick with my prediction of a Trump landslide win. But it can only happen if something big changes.

And something big changes about once a week.

      He was right about that!

  4. Cathy in NZ says:

the whole world appears to be waiting – but maybe it’s not really the whole world…

and running anything as a business often pays off…including your own life-choices etc. But we are not talking about “us as one or even a small company of say 50 employees…we are talking about a very large company with more than 50 states and many, many more people of all shapes and sizes”!

it will certainly be interesting how it pans out…successful or ??

    • Jean says:

My guess is he will try to make sure he and his family do well — many of his investments can benefit from the decisions he makes as president. We’ll have to see how much Congress goes along with him. It sure will be different than what we’ve been used to!

  5. Cindi says:

    I kinda feel like I shouldn’t comment
    as I did not vote.
    yep…

If Bernie had been a candidate,
I would have given him my vote in a heartbeat.

    • Jean says:

You are more than welcome to comment. 🙂 It wouldn’t have made any difference if you had voted, would it? Clinton wasn’t in any danger where you are.

  6. Cindi says:

    Jean, very true!
Illinois is always a Democrat state.

    • Jean says:

I ended up voting for Clinton because they were starting to mark NM as light rather than solid blue. I decided not to take any chances even though I don’t think she would have been a good president. For one thing the Republicans in Congress would have been trying to impeach her, so she wouldn’t have been able to get much done.

  7. Rummuser says:

He has not become the POTUS and already he is making waves!
