Poor Trump

Trump is having trouble getting good publicity.

I wonder why?

The video was taken at the NATO summit when they were gathering for a group photo.

As so many of his gaffes, that clip was yesterday’s front page online news. Trump is so lacking in manners and savoir faire it’s cringeworthy. Recently (maybe you told it) I came across a little joke about Trump and a bull entering a china shop … Well, you can imagine the rest. No contest.

Another clip – and of course, after his initial blunders, not least his refusal to shake Merkel’s hand but holding May’s, oh my god, his handshakes are now a focus of attention too – the one with the new French president didn’t go so well either. Trump has no style, no finesse, no charm. He seems like a fish out of water.

Before I forget, and you mentioned him recently, I love Seth Myers and his Closer Look (at Trump). And there is Stephen Colbert. They both make me laugh so much – and I am totally in awe how well they imitate Trump’s voice. Well, my dear Jean, this is what it has boiled down to for the USA: Your president is comedy gold.

Yes. I’m a loyal watcher of both Colbert and Meyers. Trump actually lashed out at Colbert, saying he wasn’t funny and no one would watch him if it weren’t for Trump. Colbert was delighted, saying, yes, and if you really want to ruin my ratings, RESIGN!

The Wall Street Journal had a picture of one of the two handshakes on their front page today. Trump is getting plenty of attention. 🙂

I’m afraid there is nothing new there — people knew that before Trump was elected. The Democrats thought that would be enough to get Clinton elected. How wrong they were.

  2. This week has been a goldmine of things to laugh (or cry) about regarding Trump in the news. I’m off to read Rummuser’s link, in hopes of something that may give us a handle on this.

Trump is just being Trump. The big question is how many of his supporters will change their minds. And if Pence were to become president he would might be more effective, but that doesn’t guarantee his policies wouldn’t be disastrous.

somehow I’m not hearing/seeing much of Trump on my home turf – but then again, I’ve not been listening to the daytime radio as much – just enjoying my solitude during the weekdays and doing my own thing…

but the analysts of his “performance” of late is entertaining – I went on to watch a small snapshot of one in regards to body language…
